# LymphoPilot First-in-Human Trial Shows Implantable Micropump Reduces Limb Volume in Breast Cancer Lymphedema

Published results from the LymphoPilot first-in-human study of nine breast cancer-related lymphedema patients showed that Lymphatica's implantable micropump device, which uses subcutaneous catheters to actively drain lymphatic fluid, achieved significant limb volume reductions over eight weeks with no safety concerns and without requiring compression or manual drainage therapy. The findings were published in the European Journal of Internal Medicine and represent the first clinical evidence for a fully implantable active lymphatic replication device.
